Here is an article showing the difference in power consumption of LED TV versus a plasma TV.
Difference kw / h per TV
We know that the plasma many qualities but mostly has a big flaw .. consumption, although it is reduced it still consumes most of three technologies (LED / LCD / PLASMA) here are the numbers:
Plasma TV: This obviously depends on the model but as 0210 kWh.
LED TV: as the plasma will depend on the model but on average is reached: 0.074 kWh.
These figures are the consumption of televisions turned on and not in sleep mode. You can see there almost 3x more consumption on plasma compared to a LED television set.
Euro cost over one year with a plasma TV
According to the EDF website the cost per kWh is + / - 0.12centimes.
Here's a quick calculation:
4h / d lit TV is back to 10 cents per day.
4 hours / day of TV is back lit 36.50 per year.
Euro cost over one year with a LED TV
4 hours / day of TV is back lit to 3.55 cents per day.
4 hours / day of TV is back lit to 12.96 euros per year.
We see therefore that this level LED big winner and those looking to buy a cheaper TV are now set.
