Deloitte today gives us his small predictions for 2013 in the market for technology and media. And there is a small section on the 4K TV and Smart TV.

Between forecasts 4G, BYOD, portals crowdfunding, smartphones, applications and business social networks, Deloitte explains that 2013 should see the rise segment 4K TVs. Twenty models after a dozen manufacturers should, in fact, appear on the market by the end of the year. But it will take between 18 and 36 months before the 4K is technically and commercially ready. Moreover, very little content will be accessible 4K for owners of these expensive TVs. The development of 4K is nevertheless a major turning point for all stakeholders (producers and broadcasters of programs, TV manufacturers), given the level of investment required.
The side of the Smart TV, the installed base of televisions with integrated connectivity is expected to exceed 100 million units. However, only 15% of purchases will be really motivated by this connectivity. And it is likely that the situation does not change much, unless exclusive content is only available on Smart TV.
At least, that is said!
